Apple’s Social Media Blunder Results in Promotion of Galaxy Z Flip 7
From time to time, we have seen Apple and Samsung going hard at each other in their marketing campaigns. It’s rather rare for tech giants to promote rivals’ products. In the case of Apple and Samsung, it seems impossible. But it seems a blunder by Apple’s social media manager has finally made it happen. Apple’s official support account on the Chinese social media platform, Weibo, has promoted Samsung’s latest Galaxy Z Flip 7.
As you’d expect, Apple was quick to pull the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s promotional ad from its account. But, a popular Samsung tipster, @UniverseIce on X, managed to grab a screen recording of the same. The post has since been shared on X multiple times. It’s unclear how the blunder happened, but it seems someone from the social media team chose the wrong content to upload.
Some even commented about the possibility of the account being handled by the same agency as Samsung China, eventually messing up things. That’s not all; a few speculate about some foul play. Whatever the case may be, the promotion of Galaxy Z Flip 7’s feature from the Apple account is something that could upset everyone at the Cupertino headquarters.
As you may know, Samsung is quick to respond to Apple’s blunders. Who knows, the next ad campaign from the South Korean tech giant might be around Apple promoting the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Some are already mocking Apple for its blunder, saying, “Even Apple knows what the superior phone is.”
Rumors about Apple’s first foldable
Speaking of foldables, Apple is still behind Samsung, as it has yet to land one. However, rumors suggest that a foldable iPhone is still a year away. You can expect to see it in the second half of 2026. Just a few days ago, a popular Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station (DCS), hinted that the first Apple foldable could feature a 5.5-inch outer screen and a 7.7-inch inner screen. Considering these details, it’s safe to say that Apple’s first foldable phone won’t rival the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
