An unexpected mention of McDonald’s to likening Pakistan to ‘India’s wife’, lighter moments from the intense two-day debate on Operation Sindoor in Parliament have now caught the attention of social media users. Many video clips from the debate on India’s military action against Pakistan following the Pahalgam attack have left social media users amused.

The Lok Sabha witnessed brief moments of humour amid intense discussion about Operation Sindoor on Monday and Tuesday. During the fiery exchange of words between the opposition MPs and the ruling party members in the Lok Sabha, a few unexpected remarks sparked humour.

Congress MP Deepender Hooda took all by surprise with an unusual mention of fast-food chain McDonald’s. He said that India should either refute the claims of US President Donald Trump on Operation Sindoor ceasefire or the government should “close McDonald’s stores in India.”
On the other hand, RLP MP Hanuman Beniwal sparked laughter by questioning the mission’s name during the Lok Sabha debate on Operation Sindoor.

Yeh kaisa naam hai? Aisa hi lag raha tha ki Bharat Pakistan ke maang mein sindoor bhar raha hai. (What kind of name is Operation Sindoor? It appeared as if India put vermilion on Pakistan’s forehead),” Beniwal joked that it made Pakistan look like India’s bride.

Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee was also seen with funny expressions during his speech.

Congress MP Praniti Sushil Kumar Shinde went one step ahead and made fun of the military action with an objectionable phrase, which was later removed from Lok Sabha records, as per News18.

Besides the hilarious moments at the Lok Sabha on Monday, Ramashankar Rajbhar, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, claimed that the nation was so outraged over the Pahalgam terror attack that people favoured ‘Operation Tandoor’ instead of ‘Operation Sindoor.’

Rajbhar meant something that no one in the Parliament could truly comprehend.

As video clips of quirky moments from the Parliament debate emerged on social media, many users reacted with funny comments while a few others expressed surprise.

“McDonald’s band karawao,” one Instagram user commented on a light-hearted video, followed by laughing emoticons.

“Better than Kapil Sharma show,” another quipped.

“This is the situation of the biggest democratic countries’ Parliament,” another comment read.

“Great Indian Circus,” said another user.
