Erin Lichy, the Real Housewives of New York (RHONY) star, has opened up about how the show inspired her to author her debut cookbook.
In a talk with PEOPLE magazine, the reality television star and businesswoman, who has written her first cookbook, She’s a Host: An Unbuttoned Cookbook for Elegant Entertaining, said it includes recipes, decorating tips and other advice for organising gatherings.
Lichy, who made shakshuka on RHONY after appearing on the show in 2023, revealed, “I think I got the idea when I realized that people really cared and loved my shakshuka recipe.”
For the unversed, shakshuka is a North African and Middle Eastern breakfast dish made from eggs in tomato and red pepper sauce.
Referring to her famous dish, the 37-year-old added she twice shared it on her Instagram and received “such a great response and people were saying how they didn’t know what shakshuka was before I had posted it.”
“I kind of felt compelled to share a lot of other dishes that are so regular to me that maybe most people wouldn’t have known about,” she noted.
It is significant to note that Erin Lichy’s cookbook, She’s a Host: An Unbuttoned Cookbook for Elegant Entertaining, will be out on October 28, 2025.
